Campaign Fundraisers

April 6th, 2006

I have been very fortunate in gaining the political support that I will need to win this very competitive election, particularly from good government and reform minded groups, with my candidacy endorsed by the Alliance for Good Government, the AFL-CIO, the Forum for Equality, the New Orleans Coalition, and the Regular Democratic Organization. Nonetheless, financial support is needed if I am going to be successful in being elected to this office. My campaign will be holding three separate fund raising parties in the next two weeks, and I ask that you please make an effort to attend any or all of them.

March 14th, 2006

The Regular Democratic Organization, the oldest continuing operational political organization in the United States, has endorsed Nick Varrecchio for Clerk of Criminal District Court.

Nick Varrecchio Earns the Coveted Alliance for Good Government Endorsement

March 14th, 2006

After a debate and candidate’s forum that included all 13 candidates for Clerk of Court, Nick Varrecchio has won the coveted Alliance for Good Government endorsement. This endorsement is perhaps one of the most important given the large field of candidates and the short 2006 campaign season.

The Alliance for Good Government’s endorsement is largely considered the “Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval” in New Orleans politics. The group presents television ads and mailed ballots endorsing their slate of candidates. The Alliance’s endorsement is even more important in this election year given the recent troubled history of this important elective office.
